TeamTrace Projects is a comprehensive project-management module that supports diverse workflows, whether Scrum, Kanban, or fixed deliverables, integrated directly with time tracking. It helps teams plan, assign, monitor, and deliver projects with clarity and efficiency.
Project Status Categories
Projects are grouped by status for easier tracking:
Status
In-Progress
Upcoming
Under-Discussion
Completed
Closed / Canceled
Description
Projects that are active and currently being worked on.
Confirmed projects whose execution phase has not yet begun.
Projects whose requirements or objectives are still being refined.
Projects that have been successfully delivered.
Projects that were abandoned or left incomplete for particular reasons.
Project Types
Projects may follow different financial or contractual models. TeamTrace supports multiple project types:
Fixed Price — A project for which the cost is set in advance and does not exceed the quotation. Payment may be made in full at the start, at handover, or at other agreed milestone(s).
Hourly — Compensation is based on the actual hours worked by employees.
Recurring Contract — A continuous contract in which payments are made (for example) monthly or at regular intervals.
How to Add a Project and Assign Staff
Step 1: Sign in to the TeamTrace portal with appropriate credentials.
Step 2: On the navigation bar, open the Projects menu and select Projects to access the projects dashboard.

Step 3: Click the + Add button to begin. This opens the project creation form.

Step 4: Fill in Project Information
Enter all mandatory fields (project name, project management tools, workflow, deadlines, etc.)

Select the platform (Project Management Tool) to manage the project lifecycle (TeamTrace – recommended, Jira, or ClickUp).

Define the workflow (working methodology) for the project (e.g., Kanban or Scrum).

Choose to create a custom project structure or use a predefined template.

Add team members to the project and define their access roles. Once done, click on Add.

Click Save and Next to proceed.
